About Our Church

The Rehoboth Oromo Speaking Evangelical Church was established in Anaheim, California in 2014 as a bible study group. The first informal worship gatherings took place in homes, community centers and parks with a vision based on the principles to connect, grow, serve, and go. It was combined with Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on to you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of earth”. As the church became more popular in a brief period of time, challenges were encountered due to the increase of worshippers and the inability to secure a permanent suitable place. Leaders and members, prayed, discussed and contributed to overcome such challenges, including financial contributions and a place that will allow to file the articles of incorporation to establish a new place of worship. At the end of 2015, The Rehoboth Oromo Speaking Evangelical Church was filled of joy upon finding a new home at Magnolia Baptist Church whose act of kindness, support and love, revealed the true foundation of the church. At that time, it was officially registered to operate as a church and be able to launch official services on selected days. Since then, servicing The Rehoboth Oromo Speaking Evangelical Church community in Orange County and surrounding vicinities by providing Sunday worship services, weekly bible studies and congregational prayer meetings.
